Zé dos Bois Gallery

Invited by Zé dos Bois Gallery (Lisbon), the studio Impromptu Projects conceived a bamboo canopy which was built by masters who traveled for the first time outside of Macao.
This summer terrace would host afternoon gatherings and outdoor cinema at night. The temporary structure covered an area of 50sqm and had a span of 10 meters long. 
This bamboo shed will provide the necessary shade area in order to make the summer heat more bearable during the day hours, facilitating the use of the terrace at the peak hours.
This temporary structure attempts to address the enactment between the citizens and the urban landscape and hopefully will boost the communal spirit in celebrating the architecture, the city and public space in relation to other arts and in the wider context of culture.
