A room full of large format drawings, rendering single buildings, executed meticulously with ballpoint pen. At first glance, each one is charged with a sense of dystopia, stating the incapacity of modern and postmodern architecture to meet the needs of human beings thus suggesting its ultimate failure. On closer inspection, there is comfort in reading that each individual is claiming their own survival space by transgressing the authorial aesthetics and protruding from every inch to negotiate their freedom. We are staring at high-density housing somewhere in Asia, with all its informal proclivities in extremis.
