Garden Detour

This outdoor intervention is located at the pond of Orient Foundation’s picturesque garden.

It consists of a bridge constructed entirely in bamboo which creates a new passageway, or a shortcut, between the main gate of the precinct and the colonial building.

The bridge attempts to promote unexpected viewpoints within the garden by proposing a specific contemplation detour towards the weeping willow tree.

At night the bamboo poles of the bridge are lit up, suggesting an ethereal luminous path.
